When it comes to graphics, I’m about the pickiest person I know. I also a little bit of a control freak. Therefore, I own my own business. I make signs and design logos for a living. One would think, using all the web design template software that is out there, and a moderate amount of intelligence, that I could build my own website. I thought so too. And so I searched, because I wanted to be the creator, to have absolute control over design and content, and I searched, and I got overwhelmed…went 4 years without a decent website. I was stymied by all the options, none of which I really liked. Finally, after being embarrassed enough about my lack of presence on the web, I gave in. I allowed the folks at Sliced Design to take the reins from me, and am I happy I did! What a relief! Sigh.
They are funny and friendly, and most of all, respect all of the above! They created our site, while making me feel like a partner in the design process. Their questionnaire is well thought out and made me look at many aspects of my business that needed attention and their technical skill is beyond anything I could have imagined. They took care of all the behind the scenes internet voodoo that scares me so much, and only asked for my involvement with the things I’m good at!
I wrote most of my copy, and uploaded lots of photos, but they did all the hard work. The result: a website I can be proud of. My customers LOVE it, and my business has increased dramatically having a presence on the web again! YAY!
